Welcome! I’m Sarah, a 25 year old creator building free souls as a reflection of my journey back to health.

My journey into holistic wellness wasn’t a trend, it was necessity.

I was diagnosed in high school with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, POTS, and gastroparesis, and spent years navigating surgeries, feeding tubes, ports, infections, and the kind of exhaustion that doesn’t go away with rest. Through it all, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Health Science and began searching for ways to support my body beyond just managing symptoms.

That search is what led me here.

Somatic therapy became a turning point for me. It’s a body-based approach to healing that focuses on regulating the nervous system, releasing stored stress, and helping you feel safe and grounded in your body again. Instead of only working through the mind, it works with the body and that shift changed everything for me, both mentally and physically.

As I went deeper into this work (and now continuing my studies as a somatic practitioner), I started creating the kinds of products I couldn’t easily find simple, non-toxic tools that actually supported my body.

Topical magnesium was one of the first things that truly made a difference for me. It helped with my sleep, chronic pain, and fatigue in a way that felt gentle but effective. I began making it for myself, then for friends and family.  After enough people told me I needed to share it, I opened my Etsy shop two years ago.

 Free souls was previously known as Yoder's Apothecary on etsy. I’ve recently transitioned onto my own website to continue building something deeper.

Everything I create is meant to feel like a reset something you can come back to when your body feels overwhelmed, disconnected, or just needs a moment to soften.

I now live in sunny San Diego with my cat and dog, continuing to build this brand while staying rooted in the same intention it started with: creating products that support real healing, in a way that feels accessible, grounded, and human.
